We appreciate that on occasion, cancellations are unavoidable and unexpected. However, we respectfully request that clients notify us of any cancellations at the earliest opportunity by emailing jackie@jackieedwardspsychology.com.au

We require a minimum of two business days’ notice (Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, excluding Queensland public holidays) to enable us to offer the appointment to another client. Cancellations made with less than two full business days’ notice may incur the following fees:

Less than 2 business days’ notice: 50% of the session fee

• Example: Cancelling a 9am Tuesday appointment after 9am on the preceding Friday.

Less than 1 business day’s notice: 100% of the session fee

• Example: Cancelling a 2:30pm Tuesday appointment after 2:30pm on Monday.

Please note that business days exclude weekends and public holidays. If your appointment is filled by another client, the cancellation fee will be waived. Additionally, late arrivals may result in reduced session time and/or Medicare rebate eligibility, but the full session fee will still apply. Failure to attend an appointment will result in the full fee being charged to the credit card on file on the day of the missed session, and a receipt will be sent to your nominated email address.

NDIS clients: Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice (where the slot cannot be filled) will incur the full session fee as per the NDIS schedule of fees.

If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, it may be converted into a phone consultation or the allocated time may be used for alternative non-face-to-face tasks, such as report writing or developing session resources, to avoid a cancellation fee. Please inform your psychologist if you consent to this arrangement.
